Dodge & Burn Particles 2

As a variation on the Dodge & Burn applet I decided to see what expanding the directions would do. Setting the directions to diagonal just created the wood grain effect with a dither inbetween at 45 degrees. With 8 directions The particles settle into a knobbled formation. 480:1 seems to be the magic ratio for developing pleasing pictures. Too high creates flux, to low and it doesn't get much past tartan.
